This lovely poem came from a friend on Canine - L (canine-l@lists.psu.edu) in memory of Smokey, so I wanted to share it with you.
Smokey, she was our dear girl,
Our blessing, a real pearl.
She wrote us poetry for the ages
With the wisdom of the sages,
A heart pure as snow--
How could she go?!
Be free, dearest one,
Bask in the sun.
Your work here is done.
We'll remember you forever.
